Marvel Legends Series Kid Nova (Sam Alexander)

Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Kid Nova.

This is the Sam Alexander Nova. He's also known as Kid Nova so as to differentiate him from Richard Rider. The character is in his teens, hence the figure's smaller size. The torso and forearms are new. The upper arms and legs reuses those from the Ultimate Spider-man teen mould. The design on his costume and gauntlets were sculpted. The gold paint apps on his torso is good. He's got a great head sculpt. I like how the helmet turned out. It also has some sculpted design on it. His lips look a little too big. Still, he has a youthful appearance and looks enthusiastic.

Accessories. He comes with a mini-figure of Phlish. The included BAF part is the torso of Titus.

A better look at Phlish. To be honest I didn't know who or what he was and I had to look it up. There's not much information I can find on him. He was a member of the Supernovas and is presently deceased. It's an interesting inclusion but I think I would have preferred some power effect pieces for Nova.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well. Despite the sculpted design at his abs area, he can bend two clicks forward and one click back.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! Now waiting for the teen Cyclops and Viv. Thanks for viewing!
